Ernsting’s family – Online Advertising Assets
For Ernsting’s family, as part of my apprenticeship as a media designer at Medienwerft GmbH, I designed a variety of digital advertising assets, including a comprehensive redesign of the motion slideshow video ads for YouTube.
The original slideshows were approximately two-minute pre-roll ads that animated every single page of the current print brochure, including all images, prices, and USPs. The high animation effort resulted in long production times and high costs. Furthermore, due to their length, the videos were often skipped after just a few seconds, leading to weak performance.

While still in my apprenticeship as a media designer, I developed and presented a new motion slideshow concept. This new version was much more compact, focusing only on selected highlight products and the most important USPs. As a result, the duration of the motion slideshow was reduced to just 20 seconds.
The result was improved user engagement and a more efficient production setup compared to the previous version.
In addition to the motion slideshows, I also developed interactive online ads that changed their animation based on user actions (such as hovering, clicking, or dragging). These ads were deployed in various formats across numerous websites.
